Weis Markets to anchor mixed-use center in Middletown, DE

The Blenheim Group reported last week that Weis Markets plans to anchor Bayberry Town Center in Middletown, DE, its proposed 280,000 square foot shopping center in the 1,500-acre planned community known as the Village of Bayberry. At 64,000 square feet, Weis will be joined by about 185,000 square feet of adjacent retail and nine pad sites.

The Newark, DE-based Blenheim Group said that ground breaking is slated for this fall and the supermarket is expected to open in 2025.

In addition to the retail, plans for the community include a Weis fuel center, 31,000 square feet of office space, 145 townhouses, and 600 acres of open space. It is connected via internal streets and walking trails to 3,400 current and future homes.
