First of all, this fast casual restaurant has an executive chef, who says they’ll have “great cheeseburgers, beer and wine on draft, great ice cream and frozen custard.” Sounds good to me!
I was in Downingtown yesterday so I stopped in to Wegmans for lunch. I had a nice conversation with the woman who made me a muffaletta (as good as any New Orleans version!) and then told me how much she liked working at Wegmans.
“They treat you well here?” I asked.
“Yes they do. Very well,” she said. Then, after a pause, she added, “I work hard. If I don’t, I’m gone.”
I looked around. There were employees all over the place. And they were all working hard.
