Wegmans closing Boston area store

Wegmans announced that it plans to close its 134,000 square foot, multi-level store at the Natick Mall outside of Boston later this summer. The supermarket, one of the chain’s largest, opened in 2018.

A Wegmans spokesperson said the “non-traditional location” was unable to attract enough customers. Wegmans added that it did not have plans to close any other stores.

Wegmans operates more than 100 stores in eight states plus Washington, D.C.
