Wegmans announced that it plans to open a store in Cranberry Township, a suburb about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. It will be the first Wegmans in the region, and no timeline has been set for the store’s construction or opening.
At about 115,000 square feet, the supermarket will have all the typical Wegmans departments, plus an extensive beer and wine selection. The plan is to build the store on 13 acres on Cool Springs Drive in the expanding Cranberry Springs development.
Wegmans currently operates 111 stores in Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and North Carolina. Wegmans locations expected to open in the near future include Lake Grove, NY; Norwalk, CT; Rockville, MD; and Charlotte, and Holly Springs, NC.
