Save-A-Lot grocery store closes in Bristol, PA

David Goodman | Nov 26, 2012 |

The Save-A-Lot grocery store in Bristol, PA closed earlier this month. It had been in operation for about 10 years. Save-A-Lot’s parent company, Supervalu (Acme, Albertson’s, etc.) has been suffering significant losses for the past three to four years and is actively pursuing a buyer.

Several analysts believe Save-A-Lot is one of the most desirable assets in Supervalu’s portfolio.
