Lidl to build distribution center in Georgia

David Goodman | Jan 09, 2020 |

Lidl announced that it plans to construct a distribution center in Covington, GA, about 35 miles outside of Atlanta. The 925,000 square foot facility will be the company’s fourth U.S. distribution center (others are in North Carolina, Maryland and Virginia) and will serve as a regional headquarters.

Lidl currently has four stores in Georgia and 13 in South Carolina. Overall, the company has 85 stores in nine states with several openings planned, and it expects to reach the 100-store mark by the end of this year. Lidl operates over 10,000 stores worldwide.
