Aldi remains America’s fastest-growing grocer

JLL’s Grocery Tracker 2022 report stated that total grocery sales reached $803 billion in 2021, and a report by Datex indicated that Aldi was the most active grocer over the course of the year, just as it was during the two previous years. And the discount grocery retailer is showing no signs of slowing down, as it plans to open about 150 new stores by the end of 2022.

Here is the list of the fastest-growing grocers for 2021 in terms of new square footage added, according to JLL.
