Weis Markets reported fourth quarter gains in sales and earnings, and said that it plans to open four new stores in Delaware and Maryland this year. The company also reported that it worked through supply chain disruptions for labor and materials.
In 2024, the supermarket chain acquired and converted Sunnyvale Foods locations in Chambersburg and Greencastle, PA. In addition, earlier this month it completed the conversion of Saylor’s Market in Newville, PA to the Weis banner. Furthermore, 12 store development projects were completed last year, including store remodels and the addition of fuel centers.
Weis ended its fiscal 2024 with 198 stores.
