Wegmans announced earlier this month that it plans to open new stores in Norwalk, Connecticut; Lake Grove, New York; and Rockville, Maryland. The Connecticut and Long Island stores mark the grocer’s first endeavor into those markets.
At 101,000 square feet, the Lake Grove location is scheduled to open next week. Rockville’s opening is slated for June 25 and will encompass about 80,000 square feet. Norwalk’s store – at 92,000 square feet – has a July 23 opening planned.
Earlier this year Wegmans reported that they plan to open a 115,000 square foot store in Cranbury Township, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh. An opening date has not yet been announced.
Wegmans currently operates 111 stores across seven states plus Washington, D.C.
