Amazon Fresh opened a new store in Eatontown, NJ, its 42nd store in the chain. The 35,000 square foot store reflects the company’s latest design and comes only five months after Amazon Fresh closed several locations.
The Eatontown store features grocery delivery and pickup options, plus connected devices like the Amazon Dash Cart – the company’s smart shopping cart – along with Amazon One palm-based payments, and Alexa kiosks in the store.
“We remain committed to grocery and will selectively open new Amazon Fresh stores as we see positive customer feedback on the new format, as well as continue to open new Whole Foods Market stores,” said an Amazon spokesperson in an email to Supermarket News.
