Giant announced two new store openings in the Greater Philadelphia market, both in July. The first, at 49,000 square feet, will be on Second Street Pike in Richboro (Bucks County), and the second will be a 50,700 square foot supermarket on North Broad Street in the city of Philadelphia.
The new stores come after the company opened four supermarkets in Philadelphia in 2021, including its urban flagship at Riverwalk and a Giant Heirloom Market in the Fashion District. In addition, Giant opened a new store in Doylestown (Bucks County) last year, as well as a state-of-the-art direct e-commerce fulfillment center on Island Ave. in Philadelphia.
Overall, The Giant Company operates 190 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Banners include Giant, Martin’s and Giant Heirloom Market.
