Wegmans announced earlier this month that they plan to open a store in Norwalk, Connecticut. It would be the company’s first store in the state, and after planned new stores open in Delaware and Washington D.C., Wegmans will have supermarkets in nine states plus the District of Columbia.
At 95,000 square feet, the Norwalk store is planned for an 11-acre parcel adjacent to Interstate 95. Wegmans is seeking municipal approvals and a timeline for construction has not yet been set.
Wegmans currently operates 106 stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts and North Carolina.
