Giant to build new, larger store in Doylestown

Giant to build new, larger store in Doylestown

David Goodman | Feb 10, 2021 |

It was reported late last month that the existing Giant supermarket at Cross Keys Place in Doylestown, PA will move into a new, bigger store where Kmart once stood in the same shopping center. Kmart closed in 2019 and was razed to make way for the 72,500 square foot Giant that is expected to open late this year.

The news comes shortly after Giant announced that it would open a store in Richboro Plaza, which is slated to be redeveloped. The 50,000 square foot store will replace Murray’s Market, a longtime shopping center resident that closed a couple years ago.

Doylestown and Richboro are both in Bucks County, PA. Other food retailers with plans to open new stores in Bucks County include Amazon, Wegmans and Lidl.
