Sprouts proposing its second store in South Jersey

Three years after Sprouts Farmers Market opened its first New Jersey store in Marlton, the Courier Post reported that a second store in the state is planned for Haddon Township, Camden County. According to the report, a filing with the township’s planning department indicates that Sprouts proposes to occupy a 23,000 square foot space in Westmont Plaza, adjacent to Target.

Sprouts has expanded rapidly in recent years and now operates about 370 stores in 23 states. The company is known for its produce and natural foods, and describes itself as “all of the very best parts of a real farmers market under one roof, open every day of the week.”

The Haddon Township Planning Board still needs to review the proposal and is likely to do so at its April meeting.
