Giant recently added Saladworks and Frutta Bowls stores in four more supermarkets. WOWorks, which seems to me to be a silly name, is the franchisor for both restaurant banners (and Garbanzo Fresh, too). More importantly, it has developed a store-within-a-store expansion plan to open the Saladworks and Frutta Bowls brands together in nontraditional locations.
Co-branded stores recently opened in Giant’s Philadelphia, PA (Cottman Ave) and Trexlertown, PA (Hamilton Blvd) locations. In addition, Saladworks opened in Giant’s remodeled Harrisburg, PA location, and Frutta Bowls opened in the grocer’s Doylestown, PA store.
The new restaurants are in addition to Saladworks locations in Giant’s Riverwalk flagship Philadelphia store, and its Camp Hill, PA supermarket.
Overall, Saladworks has 160 locations in 25 states and two countries, including outlets in Kroger, Walmart and ShopRite/The Fresh Grocer.
