For the second straight year, Lidl topped the National Retail Federation / Kantar 2020 Hot 100 Retailers list of the fastest-growing retail companies. The list ranks the nation’s fastest-growing retail companies based on increases in domestic sales between 2018 and 2019. In that time period Lidl’s sales grew 69% to $1.09 billion, and their store base grew 49% to 97 locations. Lidl now operates over 100 U.S. stores.
Wayfair finished a distant second on the list, followed by Build.com, Don Quijote (grocery), Amazon.com, Boxed.com, Five Below, At Home Stores, Coborn’s (grocery), and Primark. Other grocers on the list include the following (there were 33 grocers on the list overall):
