Lidl closed its stores in King of Prussia, PA and Burlington Township, NJ, yesterday, along with other locations in New Jersey (Howell), Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The King of Prussia store opened last year and Burlington opened in 2020.
At the same time, Lidl still plans to open more stores, including one later this month in Lorton, VA.
According to Lidl, the shuttered locations were underperforming stores, and they “made the strategic decision to close these stores so we can focus on the locations that are closer and more convenient to more of our customers and where we are seeing significant growth.”
