Grocery Outlet to open first NJ store

Grocery Outlet, the discount retailer with more than 300 stores in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and Pennsylvania, plans to add its first New Jersey store this fall in Hamilton. The Mercer County store will take 20,644 square feet of a vacant Kmart space in Hamilton Plaza Shopping Center.

The West Coast brand expanded into Pennsylvania about 10 years ago after it acquired Amelia’s Grocery Outlet, and multiple new stores have opened in the Philadelphia suburbs since that time.
