Giant said last week that it has reached an agreement with Natural Market Restaurant Group to buy two Fresh & Green’s stores in the Baltimore area. Both stores were among the eight Fresh & Green’s branded stores that Natural Market Restaurant Group bought from A&P last year.
The transaction could close as early as tomorrow, and the transition to the Giant banner is expected to take 6-8 weeks. An existing Giant that is close to one of the Fresh & Green’s locations being sold will soon close.
Earlier this month Giant announced that it would buy 16 Genuardi’s stores in Pennsylvania for $106 million.
