Plymouth Meeting, PA, December 8, 2016 – Ken McEvoy and Edward Ginn of Equity Retail Brokers’ Investment Sales division brokered the sale of three grocery-anchored shopping centers in the Philadelphia suburbs. The shopping centers include the Giant Marketplace, an 88,000 square foot center anchored by Giant Food Stores in Bensalem, Bucks County; Media Shopping Center, a 75,000 square foot center anchored by Acme Markets in Media, Delaware County, and the Shoppes at Lionville Station, a 79,000 square foot center in Exton, Chester County.
Giant Food Stores is a subsidiary of Ahold Delhaize, and Acme Markets is a subsidiary of Albertsons Companies.
Shooster Development, headquartered in Media, PA, was the seller. The buyer, ECHO Realty Partners, is a privately held developer, owner, and operator of commercial real estate with offices in Pittsburgh, PA, Washington, DC and Indianapolis, IN.
Equity Retail Brokers has been named by Echo Realty as the leasing broker for all three shopping centers. The company already serves as the leasing broker for Echo Realty’s Swedesford Plaza, a 151,000 square foot center in Berwyn, Chester County, PA.
