Save-A-Lot planning six new PA/NJ stores

It was reported last month that Save-A-Lot, the discount grocer that Supervalu is looking to spin off, plans to open six new stores in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Two of these stores will open soon in Philadelphia, and one in Norristown, PA. The other locations are planned for Lebanon, PA, Pottstown, PA and Trenton, NJ.

ShopRite, Wawa coming to Northeast Philadelphia

A ShopRite-anchored center that will also include Wawa will receive a total of $12.5 million in tax credits to fund its construction, which is expected to start in a couple months. The center will be located in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia (lower Northeast) and will be about 110,000 square feet.
