Bottom Dollar opens store in Philly food desert Brewerytown

Discount grocer Bottom Dollar, which now has 40 locations in the Greater Philadelphia market, celebrated the opening of its store in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia last week. The store was reportedly built with the help of municipal subsidies and is being hailed as the neighborhood’s first supermarket in more than 10 years.

The next Bottom Dollar opening is slated for the Germantown section of Philadelphia.
