Amazon to implement palm-scanning payment option in all Whole Foods stores

CNBC reported that Amazon’s palm-scanning payment technology will be in all Whole Foods stores by the end of this year. First launched in 2020 and currently in 200 Whole Foods locations, the technology has processed three million “uses” so far, according to Amazon.

To use this payment method, customers simply wave their palm over a reader. Their palm is linked to an Amazon account or credit card to process the transaction.
