Amazon is preparing to open its first Amazon Fresh supermarkets in New York and New Jersey. The company announced upcoming hiring events for the stores in Northern New Jersey (Paramus) and Long Island (Oceanside). The locations will be the first in the New York Metropolitan area for Amazon Fresh. No opening dates have been announced.
Both stores will feature Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology that enables customers to pay for their items without waiting at a checkout line.
According to Newsday, two more Long Island stores – in Plainview and East Setauket – are in the works.
