Conshohocken, PA, October 2, 2014 – Rose Urban of Equity Retail Brokers recently closed the sale of a freestanding building located in the Centre at Dover in Dover, Delaware.
Equity Retail Brokers represented the seller, 257 North Dupont Hwy Associates, LLC, in the sale of a 65,066 square foot former Metro Supermarket to Airbase Carpet & Tile Mart. The building, situated on 5.3 acres at the Centre at Dover, had been vacant for nearly five years. The Centre at Dover is anchored by Kohl’s, AC Moore, JoAnn Fabrics and Walgreens.
Airbase Carpet will relocate from their existing facility in Dover in order to expand into 42,000 square feet of the 65,066 square foot building. Equity Retail Brokers also represented Airbase Carpet in leasing the remainder of the building (approximately 23,000 square feet) to Urban Furniture Outlet. The two stores plan to open their doors in January of 2015.
Airbase Carpet, founded in 1967, currently has 13 retail stores throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. Urban Furniture Outlet, a thriving family owned and operated furniture business for over 20 years, will increase their presence in the Delaware market with their second retail location.
Currently, Airbase Carpet’s existing facility of 33,000 SF on 2.4 acres is listed exclusively by Equity Retail Brokers, available for sale or lease. The existing property is adjacent to Target and Safeway at Rt. 13, Rt. 113 and Little Creek Road in Dover.
