Last month Supermarket News released its annual ranking of the Top 75 Food Retailers and Wholesalers in the United States. The top 10 remained the same from last year, with the exception of Supervalu, which dropped from six to 16 as a result of the sale of 877 Albertsons stores in 2013.
The top 10 retailers are as follows (local banners are listed in parenthesis):
